Minority Introduction to Engineering Program (MITE)

2025 Camp Dates & Information Coming in December 2024

For Rising 9th-12th graders

The Minority Introduction to Engineering program (MITE) is a week-long residential summer program that allows underrepresented students the opportunity to be exposed to engineering design processes that are used to solve some of the world’s most pressing challenges. While working on their collaborative engineering project, participants will develop presentation skills. Participants will explore and be exposed to engineering through hands-on activities led by faculty and administrators. MITE participants will learn more about careers in engineering and the overall impact that one can have in this field.

Camp participants will experience campus-life while residing in Auburn's resident dormitories, eating at campus dining facilities, and enjoying evening social and recreational activities. Campers will have 24/7 counselor supervision

HOUSING:

Campers will reside in The Quad. They are designed in suites consisting of two double-occupancy rooms connected by a bathroom. Campers will need to provide their own linens and towels.

MEALS:

Meals will be provided at The Edge at Central Dining. All dietary restrictions and allergies are taken into consideration for each meal.

FACILITIES:

This camp will primarily use the Brown-Kopel Engineering Student Achievement Center, as well as other College of Engineering facilities.
