EDA UNIVERSITY CENTER
Jeremy L. Arthur has been named director of the Governmental and Economic Development Institute (GEDI), a unit of Auburn University’s Division of University Outreach. Arthur was recommended by a search committee after candidate interviews in November.
Week one of our Intensive Economic Development Training Course has once again been re-accredited as a Basic Economic Development Course by the International Economic Development Council, or IEDC. IEDC is the premier membership organization dedicated to helping economic development professionals create high-quality jobs, develop vibrant communities and improve the quality of life in their regions.
The Economic Development Association of Alabama (EDAA) Leadership Institute educates and engages elected officials, Economic Development board members, and other community leaders about key issues in economic and community development.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainty of its continued spread in Alabama, classes are being held in various formats. We have some classes being held in the classroom where safety precautions are being implemented including the requirement of masks during the classes. Several classes are being transferred to online formats and some classes will be held in a hybrid format (in classroom and online).
