Forest Herbicides

Forest herbicide application is another important management tool at the Center. Chemicals may be applied by hand, ground or air and are often used prior to artificial regeneration of pines, to shift understory vegetation from a less to more desirable community or as general brush control along fences and roadsides. When used correctly forestry herbicides are generally safe and target specific.
