Diversity Exam Reimbursement Programs

Organizations and companies provide scholarship opportunities to underrepresented minorities within the actuarial profession.  A page listing such opportunities is available on BeAnActuary.org.

CAS Trust Scholarship

The Casualty Actuarial Society runs a scholarship program for college students pursuing a career in actuarial science. The CAS Trust Scholarship program, funded by donations to the CAS Trust, awards up to three $2,000 scholarships to deserving students.  Keep an eye on the Link to check out deadlines.

Academic Exam Fee Reimbursement

The Academic Exam Fee Reimbursement Program was established as a means to reduce the economic barrier for university and college faculty members and graduate Ph.D. students who may lack monetary support. Effective November 1, 2008, the SOA will reimburse certain exam and assessment fees for successful full–time faculty members of accredited universities and colleges and full–time graduate students in Ph.D. programs.
