Auburn Mathematical Puzzle Challenge (AMP'd)

STEM Outreach

AMP'd will not be happening in 2023, instead we will be offering a MaPP Jr. pilot on February 17, 2024!

Middle School AMP’d is a problem solving challenge in which teams of six to eight middle school students work together to ‘complete their mission’ by answering mathematical puzzles. Students of all levels engage with math in a way that is fun, interesting and different from a traditional class.

Work as a team to solve mathematical puzzles
Use practical applications of mathematics
Acquire competence and confidence through self-directed learning
Engage in applied technology
Develop leadership, teamwork and organizational skills

Limited to the first 18 teams

Schools may enter a maximum of two teams of six to eight students on each team. Each team must have at least one teacher chaperone and a second teacher or parent chaperone for schools registering two teams. All students must be current 7th-8th graders. $200/team (includes lunch, snacks, drinks, and t-shirt for each participant).

Registration will be available at a later time.
