Talent Acquisition

Talent Acquisition launches, helps finds the best job applicants for Auburn

To ensure that Auburn remains a premiere employer in our region, Employment Services now offers talent acquisition and recruitment services to campus units.

Three new positions -- known as Talent Acquisition Specialists -- were created in 2023. The specialists in these positions work closely with units to help them find the best candidates for their respective positions by offering:

  • Proactive recruitment

  • Partnership between the supervisor and the recruiter

  • Customized talent strategy

  • Elevated and engaging experience

Multiple units are already benefitting from this new focus, and we expect even greater successes in 2024.

Please contact our Employment team if you have any questions or would like more information on how they can assist your unit.

Triple Focus

Graduate Student Background Checks

At Auburn, our first priority is the success and well-being of our students. This includes their financial well-being. To help encourage this aim, all background checks for graduate student employees are being paid by the department. Previously, some students had to pay for background checks.

Outreach and Engagement

Our Employment team participated in over 11 job fairs and recruiting events, prepared over 22 Weagle Welcome baskets for interview candidates, facilitated 26 Camp War Eagle and 4 Successfully Orienting Students sessions, and conducted or participated in National Student Employee Appreciation events and Student Employee of the Year activities.

Spirit of Excellence
