The College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM) values academic excellence, transformative research and impactful service. COSAM believes that this can only be accomplished through cultivating an environment where individuals from all backgrounds feel respected, supported and empowered to contribute fully. Key to COSAM’s mission is fostering the development of culturally competent students, faculty and staff through best practices and strategies that promote fairness and understanding. Therefore, COSAM is committed to actively doing the work to address barriers in order for every member of the community to have the opportunity to succeed and feel a strong sense of belonging.
Mission Statement: The purpose of COSAM AEIO is to empower and promote access in the STEM fields by offering strategic, tailored support and a community environment where everyone has a voice.
Vision Statement: COSAM AEIO will be known by and accessible to all students, faculty and staff by providing comprehensive academic, professional and social support and resources that foster a sense of conscious community within the college.

Recruitment: We are primarily focused on students interested in STEM fields At the K-12 level, we are committed to expanding access to resources that make college a viable option.
