The College of Sciences and Mathematics offers multiple tutoring options to support undergraduate students in math, chemistry, biology and physics. Whether you need quick help before an exam or ongoing one-on-one support, COSAM provides both free drop-in tutoring and connections to private tutors each semester.

Drop-In Tutoring Center (Free)

COSAM’s Drop-In Tutoring Center provides free, walk-in academic support for select STEM courses. No appointment is required.

Established in 1994, the COSAM Drop-In Center occupies rooms in the Science Center Classrooms Building, including staff offices and study/workshop rooms. The Drop-In Center, housed in the College of Sciences and Mathematics Office of Academic Engagement, Innovation and Opportunity, is the home of a comprehensive academic-support program for all students with majors in sciences and mathematics.
During the school year, free tutoring is offered in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics.

These lists are updated every semester to reflect current availability and course coverage.

How to Choose the Right Tutoring Option

Quick questions or review: Start with free drop-in tutoring
Ongoing or advanced support: Consider a private tutor
