Physiological Adaptations and Functional Genomics Core

Biological Sciences

Unifying research of members within Physiological Adaptations and Functional Genomics (PAFG) Core within the Department of Biological Sciences (DBS) at Auburn University is focused on the underlying mechanisms and functional adaptations that occur as organisms respond to abiotic/biotic stress in shifting environmental conditions. Traditional studies of physiology at the cellular and organismal level, development, ecology, and biochemistry are being combined with modern approaches of genomics, proteomics, and epigenetics to address fundamental questions within this core area.
