The purpose is to connect international and native born students, faculty, staff, and the wider Auburn community and establish social interaction and integration between the international and domestic campus communities. The cultural café provides an informal and relaxed forum for cultural expression and education conducive to an inclusive and culturally competent university community. During coffee and conversation, there is mutual exchange of cultures and friendships. Participants are encouraged to bring something from their culture to contribute to learning. The café features cultures and cuisine from a variety of world-wide cultures apart from the main center hubs of Arabic, Brazilian and Korean and African Diaspora themes. This is a forum to engage the diverse Auburn family and make connections and friendships while enjoying snacks and beverages from different parts of the world. The event occurs on the last Thursday of every month.
