In recent years, the Korean entertainment industry has reached a global audience. Since 2012, the Korea Center - King Sejong Institute has hosted the annual K-Pop Party in which singers, performers and dance groups are invited to show off their talents in a friendly competition. Participants typically include students and members of the Auburn-Opelika community as well as the greater Atlanta area. Special guests are invited to perform and act as partial judges along with the audience to decide the winner(s) of the event.
