Created in 2014, the Global Teaching Academy recognizes and celebrates exceptional teaching in an international context. Since inception, the Academy has welcomed some two dozen colleagues and recognized their efforts in internationalizing our curricula and our students. The Office of International Programs invites nominations for this year’s new class of Academy members.
Tenure-track faculty on Auburn’s main campus may nominate themselves or may be nominated by a colleague. Please provide a short CV highlighting teaching of international content, either on campus or overseas. Nominations may be sent to Jenn Mason, director of international initiatives. The deadline for nominations is Feb. 15.
The goals of the Academy are to:
Each year the Academy adds five to six faculty, recognized for their international teaching, and these faculty help lead Auburn’s efforts in internationalization of the curriculum. Members also play an essential role in Auburn’s biannual International Perspectives on University Teaching and Learning Symposium.
