June 22, 2020 Executive Order on Immigration

The Executive Order issued on June 22 will temporarily suspend U.S. embassies/consulates from issuing certain J, H and L visas abroad through Dec. 31, 2020. However, this is not a blanket ban and in certain cases it may be possible to still obtain J, H and L visas.

The Executive Order has NO IMPACT for F/J students and scholars, or current faculty and staff. For more information or questions about specific circumstances, please contact the Office of International Programs.
