Krystyna Kuperberg


Krystyna M. KuperbergDr. Krystyna M. Kuperberg is a professor in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics. Her research and teaching focuses on Topology and Geometry: Continuous and Differentiable Dynamical Systems, Fixed Points and Discrete Geometry.

Originally from Poland, Dr. Kuperberg began her career at Auburn University in 1974, with time spent as a visiting associate professor at Oklahoma State University, a visiting member of Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences at New York University, and a visiting professor at l’Universite de Paris-Sud, Centre d’Orsay in France.

She has won numerous awards throughout her career including the Waclaw Sierpinski Medal, Auburn University Creative Research Award, COSAM Research Excellence Award, and the Alfred Jurzykowski Award.

Publications include Transactions of the American Mathematical Society, Annals of Mathematics, and Journal of Automated Reasoning.

Dr. Kuperberg received a Master of Science from Warsaw University in Poland, and a Ph.D. from Rice University.
