Auburn University recently published “Return to Work” guidance for all employees and staff to return to campus by Nov. 30. Within that guidance, it stated that the university would continue to monitor the impact of COVID-19 on our community and reassess directives as deemed necessary should new developments arise.  

Based on the current COVID-19 trends we are seeing locally, nationally and globally, the university has decided to rescind the Nov. 30 “Return to Work” guidance and extend the current operations model through Jan. 3, 2021.


Out of an abundance of caution, the university is making operational adjustments in response to emerging health scenarios in Lee County, in Alabama and across the country.


November is Open Enrollment Month at Auburn University. There are numerous resources available to help benefits-eligible employees and their dependents as they select their benefits, including a new virtual benefits fair, benefits enrollers and the website aub.ie/benefits.


The university has released its spring 2021 academic plans, which include modifications to the academic calendar and updates to key protocols designed to foster a safe campus environment.
