HR and Campus Happenings

Human Resources found a new way to celebrate the Employee of the Year winners for 2019-20. Based on each recipient’s smiles and surprised reactions, the pandemic couldn’t stop a good celebration—or four of them, to be exact.

Effective August 19, Auburn requires everyone on campus — in all indoor and outdoor spaces — to wear a face covering. This is a preventative measure intended to protect the campus community. Read the complete policy here.

As the university implements “A Healthier U” this semester, all faculty, staff and students who plan to come to campus are required to complete a COVID-19 self-screener every day.

University officials remain focused on the health and safety of the campus community and are extending the previously announced operational modifications through Oct. 10.

Due to COVID-19, the IRS has relaxed restrictions related to qualifying events and is allowing midyear changes to Flexible Spending Account plans (medical and dependent care). As a result, Auburn University will have a Special Enrollment during the month of August to allow current 2020 Plan Year participants of one or both of these accounts to update their elections for the remainder of 2020. Please note that these requested changes must be submitted during the month of August.
