Astronomy Night –Join Kreher Preserve & Nature Center staff and the Auburn Astronomical Society on March 21, 2015 at Kiesel Park in Auburn for a star studded event featuring a short astronomy program, educational space movie, powerful telescopes, laser constellation program and some out-of-this-world snacks. Spring Break Camp –The Kreher Preserve & Nature Center will offer its Spring Break Camp March 23, 24, 25 from 7:30 a.m – 3:30 p.m. for 1st – 6th grades. Children will enjoy a day outside learning all about our blossoming Alabama plants, busy honey bees, fish and native animals through hiking, fishing, gardening and other fun activities around the preserve. Snacks will be provided; however children should bring their lunch and a refillable water bottle each day.
Bark in the Park – Auburn Parks and Recreation will host Bark in the Park, an event celebrating responsible dog ownership, on Saturday, April 5 from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Kiesel Park. This FREE community event is open to all dog owners and their favorite four-legged friends.
Hunger Hike – The Committee of 19 is holding a Hunger Hike on April 19, 2015 at Chewacla State Park. The cost is $10 for students and $20 for faculty. The cost includes entrance fee, t-shirt, and complimentary donated merchandise bag.
