Our mission

In an effort to enhance the learning experience for off-campus employees during the current alternate operations period, Auburn University Human Resource Development (HRD) is providing courses available for remote participation to those who wish to participate via Zoom. The classes that are listed below will be offered via Zoom during the months of May and June. For more information, visit Fast-Train. (University Electronic Systems courses will be offered during the 2020 fall semester.) 

All regular employees of Auburn University (Staff, Administrative/Professional, and Faculty) are eligible to register for the training and development courses listed on this page.

The courses that HRD provides are designed with working adults in mind. These classes can help you:

Auburn University Human Resources is committed to a lifelong process of personal development for everyone while taking into consideration the demands on employee time and resources. We recognize the changing nature of work and need for everyone to engage in learning that is ongoing and available at any time and in any place.

How Do I Register?

How do I register?

  1. Log in to AU Access.
  2. Click on the “Employees” tab.
  3. Click on “Fast-Train” in the “Professional Development and Training Section” (right side of the page).
  4. Click on the “Training Calendar” navigation icon.
  5. Click on the day that you are interested in.
  6. Click on the course you want.
  7. Click “Enroll”.
  • In most cases, supervisors are no longer required to approve a pending enrollment for a direct report who registers for a course.

Taking a class in Zoom

  • You will be emailed available course material and the Zoom url prior to the start of the class. The Zoom url is also provided in the calendar invite that is generated upon enrollment.
  • Zoom instructions are available online. Zoom etiquette is available here
  • Confirm with the moderator that you are present so they can mark your attendance.
  • Please mute your audio unless you are asking a question.

  • For a full description of a course, refer to the description in Fast-Train.
  • Temporary and affiliated employees are not eligible to register in Fast-Train, but may request to attend courses as space is available. Contact autrain@auburn.edu to request space.
  • Times and dates are subject to change; those registered for a class will be notified of changes.
  • You may cancel your enrollment in Fast-Train by going to “Courses to Complete” icon and clicking the “X” next to the course you want to cancel. .
  • Some HRD courses have fees applied. Fees will be charged 10 days prior to the start of the course and are non-refundable.
