The mission of Auburn University Human Resource Development (HRD) is to deliver high-quality service in content, instruction, technology and operational support to employee learners.  Our vision is to connect Auburn people with their future by providing talent development experiences to support their growth.

All regular employees of Auburn University (Staff, Administrative/Professional, and Faculty) are eligible to register for the training and development courses listed on this page.

Courses are held at the HRD Training Facility located in the Auburn Administrative Complex, unless otherwise noted.  Visit Fast-Train to register or for more information.

Auburn University Human Resources is committed to a lifelong process of personal development for everyone while taking into consideration the demands on employee time and resources. We recognize the changing nature of work and need for everyone to engage in learning that is ongoing and available at any time and in any place.

With that in mind, Auburn Human Resources will be introducing a steady stream of new, up-to-date online eLearning opportunities. These courses can be found in the Fast Train catalogue and will feature an “E” on the end of the course code. Our three newest offerings are part of what will be nine courses in the HR Legal Series.

How Do I Register?

  • Log in to AU Access

  • Click on the “Employees” tab

  • Click on “Fast-Train” in the “Professional Development and Training Section” (right side of the page)

  • Click “Courses” in the menu to the left

  • Click “Training Calendar”

  • Click on the day that you are interested in

  • Click on the course you want

  • Click “Enroll”

  • Make sure your supervisor approves your enrollment on their Fast-Train homepage.

  • Once you have requested the desired courses, Fast-Train will automaticallly send an email to your supervisor prompting them to approve your enrollment.

Additional Notes

  • For a full description of a course, refer to the description in Fast-Train.

  • Temporary and affiliated employees are not elibible to register in Fast-Train, but may request to attend courses as space is available. Contact to request space.

  • Parking is available at the Training Facility with no parking pass required. The Tiger Transit’s North Auburn line runs from the Mell Street Station to the facility (employees can ride this route free of charge.)

  • CEUs are awarded for some courses; please refer to the schedule to see what courses offer CEUs.

  • Times and dates are subject to change; those registered for a class will be notified of changes.

  • You may cancel your enrollment in Fast-Train by going to “Live Courses” at the bottom of your Fast Train homepage and clicking “Cancel” for that particular course or contact AU HRD.

  • Some HRD courses have fees applied. Fees will be charged 10 days prior to the start of the course and are non-refundable.
