I have been the dean’s administrative assistant since April 1999.  I maintain the dean’s daily calendar, handle details in arranging meetings and provide documentation for the meetings.  Other duties include preparing correspondence as needed, providing assistance when the dean chairs university search committees, and maintaining a current mailing list for all of the dean’s correspondence and distributions.  I also provide executive assistance to the dean with the complexities that occur in the administration of the Dean’s Office.

On a personal note, I enjoy traveling with my husband of 43 years to our “other” home in Silver Cliff, Colo. I also enjoy reading, crocheting, and spending time with friends and family, especially our two grandsons, ages 12 and 5. I am a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Auburn.

Before coming to Auburn University, I worked as the accountant and office administrator at a local construction company for over 21 years. I began working at Auburn University in 2003 in the Facilities Division, Project Construction Division. I have been at COSAM in the Dean’s Office since 2006 as academic administrative support specialist. My primary responsibility is controlling the B.A.S.I.S.® ET690 software system. This security system is used for scheduling the opening and closing of COSAM buildings, classrooms and the auditorium, as well as maintaining reservations for review sessions, exams, special programs, lectures, outreach programs and other events as requested. I am also the contact person for key requests, banner card swipe access and many other varied duties. Additionally, I assist the dean’s executive support assistant, as needed.

My husband and I live in Auburn and have two children and six grandchildren - three boys and three girls. I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, family and friends. I attend Farmville Baptist Church where I sing in the choir and have played hand bells. I have a passion for sewing and was recently featured in the East Alabama Living magazine for my t-shirts quilts.

I joined the COSAM family in April 2004 when we were located on College Street in OD Smith Hall.

I had previously worked for 21 years at Auburn Bank in various positions and decided to leave mortgage lending operations to start a new career at Auburn University. I handle all the finances for the college, including balancing our large budget which consists of six departments: Administration, Biological Sciences, Chemistry and Bio-Chemistry, Geology and Geography, Mathematics and Statistics, and Physics.

My husband, Mike, and I have two boys, 26 and 22. I graduated from Auburn in 1982, and our 26-year-old son graduated from Auburn also, so we are big Auburn fans. I’m a member of AUMC and enjoy spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy all water sports on Lake Martin, beach and mountain trips, a little painting, and playing with my favorite pet, a four-pound Yorkie named Teddy Winston.

Hello! This wonderful opportunity was offered to me in 2006 and I happily and eagerly accepted the position to join the College of Sciences and Mathematics family. Before my acceptance, I spent 12 years working in human resources in the private sector.  Prior to that, I was an independent medical/life insurance agent. COSAM is a large college with seven departments and more than 270 full-time employees.

I came to Auburn University in 1989 and earned a degree in business administration in 1992. During that time, I met my husband, Chuck, who is from Auburn.
