Dr. Marcelo A. Kuroda is inspired by the open spaces in the new Leach Science Center Addition.

“The design of the classrooms and areas for informal meetings will help foster further discussions for both faculty and students in the Department of Physics,” he explained. “I think the new facility’s design will offer an ideal environment for incubation of new ideas in collaborative research and the two-way talk discussions between students and faculty in their physics instruction.”

Dr. Kuroda currently teaches solid state physics to students at Auburn University. He is also looking forward to the technology in the new Leach Sciences Center Addition.

“The technology in the classroom is not only a formidable tool to help students get the most out our classes but also an indispensable skill to join the competitive STEM (science, technology and mathematics) workforce in this day and age,” he added.
