Title: Mathematical and Computational Problems in Topological Materials
Abstract: In this talk, I will introduce the main mathematical and computational problems in topological materials, which were inspired by the success in topological insulators in recent years. In particular, I will use topological photonic materials as an example and illustrate the theory and computation for several mathematical models based on our recent and ongoing work. In addition, I will discuss open mathematical problems in this emerging area.
