Data Science Society

at Auburn University

The Data Science Society at Auburn (DSSA) is the only student-run organization here on campus that is focused on promoting education and discussion around data science, big data, and machine learning technologies and practices. DSSA is affiliated with the Auburn University Department of Mathematics and Statistics and the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering.

Our mission is to foster a strong data science community on our campus. To do so, we are planning on hosting seminars by faculty and professionals discussing their research and experiences within the industry.  We also are planning upcoming networking events throughout the year such as trying to organize a job fair for data-driven industries. Moving forward, we would like to better network students with faculty, companies, and each other on new ventures.

Those interested in joining our society should reach out to Jordan Eckert (jpe0018@auburn.edu) to be added to the DSSA LISTSERV.
