Registration open for Korea Center-King Sejong Institute's free culture classes

AUBURN, Ala. – The Korea Center-King Sejong Institute in the Auburn University Office of International Programs is offering six types of Korean culture classes throughout summer 2021. The classes are free and open to all Auburn University faculty, staff and students, as well as the Auburn-Opelika community.

  • Hanbok Class – May 22, 10 a.m. to noon at the Korea Center (Foy Hall, Auburn University)
  • Korean Calligraphy Class – May 29, 10 a.m. to noon at the Korea Center
  • Korean Cooking Class – June 9 and 10; June 23 and 24, 5-6 p.m. at the Korea Center and on Zoom
  • Taekwondo Class – June 12 and 19, 10 a.m. to noon at World Champion Taekwondo
  • Korean Ceramics Class – June 26 and July 3, 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Korea Center
  • Korean Quilt Class – July 10 and 17, 10 a.m. to noon at the Korea Center

There is a 10-person limit per class, so pre-registration is required for all classes by May 16 to auksi@auburn.edu. In the registration email please include your name, the class(es) you wish to reserve and your contact information. Detailed information regarding each class will be sent to registrants in advance. Please note, for the classes that have two class sessions (Korean Cooking Class, Taekwondo Class, Korean Ceramics Class and Korean Quilt Class), registrants must attend both sessions. If participants decide to attend the June 9 Korean Cooking Class, you must also attend the June 10 session as well.
