  • August 10, 2015: Auburn University Leadership Series – Rising Above with John O'Leary
  • June 8-26, 2015Free Pre-Calculus Summer Day Camp. Registration is now open for a free three-week Pre-Calculus summer day camp for high school students. The camp will meet on the Auburn University campus in room 3345 Haley Center, Monday through Friday June 8-26 from 8 a.m. to Noon. The camp is sponsored by the university’s K-12 Outreach office and the Honors College, and funded through a SENCER subaward from the National Science Foundation. The three week camp will offer students hands-on activities in high tech Smart classrooms for data collection, mathematical analysis, and constructing and solving mathematical models from real-world applications.   • June 18-19, 2015 – The 5th Annual Anti-Bullying Summit, hosted by Auburn University, will be held June 18-19, 2015 in Peachtree City, GA.
  • June 9, 2015Community Partner Training. The Office of Public Service is hosting a Community Partner Training Session on Tuesday, June 9, from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M., at the Auburn Chamber of Commerce. Courtney Carson, Associate Executive Director of Magic Moments, will be speaking on the topic of Campaign and Event Promotion. Magic Moments is the only wish granting organization devoted exclusively to creating magic moments in the lives of children in Alabama with chronically life threatening medical conditions. A magic moment allows children and their families to forget, even if just for a little while, the fear and pain of their illness.   • March 12, 2015 – The Office of Public Service is sponsoring a community partner training. This training session will be held 1 - 2:30 p.m., March 12, 2015 at the Auburn Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Kelly Krawczyk, Assistant Professor with the College of Liberal Arts at Auburn University, will conduct the session on the topic of leadership. Attendance is free.   • Nominations for the 2015 Auburn University Award for Excellence in Faculty Outreach are now being accepted. Deadline for receipt of nominations is Monday, March 2, 2015, at 4:00 p.m.
  • February 25, 2015 – The Office of University Outreach and the Black Graduate and Professional Student Association (BGPSA) are hosting the Dr. Juan Gilbert Lecturer Series featuring Dr. Keenan Grenell on Wednesday, February 25 from 6-8 p.m. in the Student Center (room 2223). Dr. Grenell is CEO of Global Capital Group, LLC, a global business consulting firm. His areas of expertise include economic development and entrepreneurship.   • February 23-25, 2015 – The Outreach Scholarship Symposium (OSS) will be held February 23-25, 2015. It will begin the afternoon of February 23rd at the Auburn University Hotel and Dixon Conference Center and continue February 24th and 25th, 2015 at the Auburn University Student Center.
  • February 19, 2015 – The Office of Public Service is sponsoring a community partner training that will address the topic of Standards of Excellence. This training session will be held 1 - 2:30 p.m., February 19, 2015 at the Auburn Chamber of Commerce. Shannon Ammons, CEO Alabama Association of Nonprofits, will conduct the session.   • February 12, 2015Dr. Jacob Wright from Emory University will be speaking at the Auburn Student Center, Room 2310, on February 12, 2015 at 2:00pm. In this talk, Dr. Wright will share insights from his experience of making his ebook and show how easy it is to "do it yourself".
  • January 16, 2015Spring Volunteer Fair. The Office of Public Service will host the annual AuburnServes Volunteer Fair, Friday, January 16, 2015, from 10 a.m. until noon in the Auburn Student Center. Nonprofit agencies are invited to attend the event to distribute information about their agencies and volunteer/service opportunities. Students, faculty and staff are invited to meet and speak with representatives from local nonprofit agencies.
