Research Overview
The Office of the Associate Dean for Research was established to assist faculty, graduate and undergraduate students with matters related to research. We work closely with the Office of Sponsored programs and other units on campus. Our office is located in Science Center Classroom 248.
We provide seed funding for research projects, travel, discretionary funds, research fellowships for undergraduates and recognition for meritorious advances in the field. Research is becoming ever more interdisciplinary. In this regard, the college is home to the interdisciplinary Peak in Cellular and Molecular Biosciences and an annual research symposium, “Frontiers in -----“ to highlight significant advances in interdisciplinary fields.
We are committed to fostering a positive research environment that promotes excellence and research competitiveness by providing necessary assistance with proposal preparation and mentoring for faculty development.
Marie W. Wooten, Ph.D. Professor Associate Dean for Research
