SCB members take night swamp walk in Tuskegee National Forest

Fourteen members of Auburn University’s chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) were led into the night after our meeting on April 11, 2012 to look for swamp creatures in wetlands at Tuskegee National Forest. Led by Shawn Jacobsen and Dr. Debbie Folkerts, we heard a number of species of calling frogs, observed a cottonmouth, found aquatic and night-flying insects, observed foraging bats and spiders, and generally spent an enjoyable evening learning about wetland animal species.
