Title: Graphs, optimisation, and machine learning in telecommunications

Abstract: Many problems in the telecommunications business lead to graph theoretical questions. I will showcase a range of problems from fibre network planning to campaign design that lead to an interesting combination of graph theory, integer linear programming, and machine learning. The underlying business questions quite naturally lead to open mathematical questions.
