Alabama View

AlabamaView is a consortium formed to promote research, education, and outreach of remote sensing and geographic information systems to Alabama citizenry. A major focus of AlabamaView is to provide centralized access to downloadable remotely sensed imagery and GIS layers.

State agencies and academic institutions can save taxpayers' money by purchasing imagery through AlabamaView which has an agreement with the USGS Eros Data Center that enables us to purchase data at discounted prices. As of June 2006, AlabamaView has saved over $20,000 of taxpayers' money through these data purchases. AlabamaView then posts these data online and makes them available to everyone for free which reduces redundant orders and saves money as well. Click here to visit the website.

Auburn University Remote Sensing Program (AURSP)

AURSP is a research program utilizing remote sensing methodologies to help solve applied problems in the state of Alabama. The program is structured to provide resources to students and faculty that use remote sensing in their research.
