Research & Teaching Interests
My overall research interest is focused on gaining a better understanding of plant development. More specifically I am interested in how plant hormones are involved in such processes, particularly the hormone cytokinin. The research in my lab is centered on using molecular, genetic, and physiological approaches to study several highly related transcription factors that are regulated by cytokinin. A greater understanding of the role that these cytokinin response factors or CRFs play in essential plant developmental processes such as normal leaf, cotyledon, and embryo cell division and expansion is a major goal for the lab. / My Teaching interests parallel my research interests and are focused on Development, and Plant Sciences in general.
