Donald E. Davis Arboretum
The Davis Arboretum is an Auburn University facility dedicated to the display of native woody plants of
the Southeastern United States. It is a teaching
resource for many University classes. In addition to
displaying native plants, it is our goal to promote
ecological education through the study and observation of
plants and their natural habitats.
Visitors please explore the collections and take a look at the photo galleries to get an idea of what the
Arboretum offers.
Mission
To promote the understanding of, and appreciation for, the natural world, emphasizing native southeastern plants and other associated organisms.

- Photo Contest Winners announced.
The 2009 photo contest was, as usual, a close competition. It was a little easier to
judge due to the increased number of categories. Photos that won their category or
recieved an honorable mention are hanging at the Arboretum pavillion and adult entries can
be viewed in our web gallery.
