OIP to Hold Q&A for Peace Corps, AmeriCorps Volunteer Opportunities

Students and others interested in serving communities at home or abroad are invited to take part in a question and answer session with representatives from AmeriCorps (National Civilian Community Corps) and Peace Corps August 29 at 4 p.m. in Foy Hall 208.

AmeriCorps NCCC strengthens communities and develops leaders through direct, team-based national and community service. In partnership with non-profits—secular and faith based—local municipalities, state governments, federal government, national and state parks, Indian tribes, and schools, members complete service projects throughout the region they are assigned.

The Peace Corps is a service opportunity for motivated changemakers to immerse themselves in a community abroad, working side by side with local leaders to tackle the most pressing challenges of our generation.

Representatives from both organizations will be available to answer questions about opportunities within their organizations. Free pizza will be served. To RSVP or for additional information, please contact Amanda Denney, Peace Corps recruiter, in the Office of International Programs at peaceco@auburn.edu.
