This is an annual and well-attended conference that has been held at many quality institutions, including Auburn, in the past.

In January, our graduate students Melody Denhere, Kristin Courtney, Liang Kong, Jebessa Mijena, Mary Clair Thompson, and Thomas Whitt were awarded $500 - $750 each from the American Mathematical Society (AMS) to attend and present at the 2013 Joint Mathematics Meetings (JMM) in San Diego.

JMM is an annual and the largest mathematics meeting in the world. Some of the students also got travel support from COSAM, the Graduate School, and/or the Department.

Congratulations and we are proud of you.
