Dee Smith to be honored during ceremony at Florida Atlantic football game on September 24th, 2011
The Donald E. Davis Arboretum’s Curator, Dee Smith, received special recognition as one of the winners of the University’s Spirit of Excellence award from April 2010 to March during ceremonies before the home football game on September 24th, 2011. Smith and other winners were thanked during the pre-game festivities, in which they were lauded for going beyond the call of duty in their jobs. In addition to winning the Spirit of Excellence award, Smith was also honored as one of five Employees of the Year for 2011. Smith has been Curator of the Arboretum since January 2007.
