Position: Actuary
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree in mathematics preferred. A degree in physics, statistics, or economics may suffice provided strong concentrations of mathematics were included. Must have membership in the Casualty Actuarial Society as a Fellow. At least 5 years of experience in the Actuarial field. Experience with prediction modeling.
Duties: Help maintain a profitable and competitive rate structure, by reviewing rates for all lines (including actuarial indications and competitive analysis) and preparing rate fillings. Oversee rate fillings and actuarial work product produced by lower level staff and/ or outside actuarial soundness and accuracy. Provide analysis and support to the chief actuary for loss revenue, reinsurance, and other analytical projects. Continuously develop improving actuarial analysis, through independent research and application of developments.
