Welcome to the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Affairs

Our goal is to offer academic support to underrepresented minority students majoring in sciences and mathematics. The primary goal of this office is to drastically improve the academic performance and consequently reduce the attrition rate of minority students in the sciences and mathematics by providing a “home base” where minority students receive academic support, advice, and counseling.  We hope that our site will be both informative and interesting to you.  We also invite you to stop by our office in Science Center Classrooms Building room 235 whenever you’re visiting Auburn University.

Our mission is planning, promoting and implementing programs for the recruitment, enrollment, retention, recognition and career planning of undergraduate and graduate students with multicultural backgrounds. The Drop-In Center workshop rooms are the major venue by which we channel our efforts to provide sustained and comprehensive student support to facilitate outstanding academic achievement and leadership development. Programs and initiatives that undergird our efforts include Advising and Counseling Services, Summer Bridge Program, Workshops for Excellence Tutoring, PASS Peer Mentoring, Minority High School Visitation Day, Monthly Forums, and Recruitment Events.
