“It was exciting to finally meet one of our advisors to our NSF Research Traineeship program, Dr. Richard Gragg Associate Director and Associate Professor in environmental science at FAMU. It’s been difficult to promote a new program in COVID conditions, but I was happy to inform the interested upperclassmen of FAMU of Auburn’s NSF Traineeship increasing the future climate resiliency in the southeastern United States, with funded positions with $34K stipends and tuition waivers,” said Katie Brown, program coordinator. “Our applications are now open again to all interested upperclassmen.”

Brown was part of a team from the College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM), Auburn’s Graduate School and Auburn’s Harbert School of Business that represented Auburn University that attended the 34th Annual Graduate Feeder Recruitment Fair at Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University (FAMU) on September 8 and 9 in Tallahassee, FL.

The FAMU Graduate School Recruitment Fair was all the better thanks to the participation of AU and it's recruitment team led by Dean Flowers,” explained FAMU Professor Richard Schulterbrandt Gragg and NRT advisory member. “It was great seeing Katie Brown, in action, recruiting environmental science and studies majors to the National Research Traineeship in Climate Resilience led by Dr. Karen McNeal.”
