Message from the Dean - April 2021
To all COSAM faculty, staff and students,
I want to thank you all again for your incredibly hard work and dedication this semester. Our college has met many challenges and implemented innovative ways to continue to educate our students.
We all recognize that this semester has also been extremely stressful. Therefore, as this semester comes to a close, I hope that everyone in COSAM will take some time to focus on their own mental wellness. We often are so busy completing tasks and projects that we forget to take time to concentrate on self-care.
To help you accomplish this, COSAM will offer four wellness sessions via Zoom. These 15-minute sessions will be hosted by a healthcare professional and take place on:
- Thursday, April 22 from 9 - 9:15 a.m.
- Tuesday, April 27 from 8:45 to 9 a.m.
- Friday, April 30 from 8:30 to 8:45 a.m.
- Wednesday, May 5 from 3:30 to 3:45 p.m.
These wellness sessions will help you calm the mind and decrease stress in the body. Natalie will share tips and techniques to help all of us reduce our stress, practice mindfulness and create a healthy relationship with ourselves. These sessions are open to any COSAM faculty, staff or students.
I encourage everyone to take advantage of these sessions. Mental health impacts all areas of our lives. Sessions like these can help all of us reduce our stress and have a better quality of life.
