There’s a chill in the air, decorations are on display, and many are getting ready to celebrate the spookiest time of the year. These are all signs that Halloween is fast approaching.

During October, many events spring up in the city of Auburn to celebrate the spirit of the holiday, one of them being the Donald E. Davis Arboretum’s very own Fright Night Fridays in partnership with the City of Auburn.

During this annual series, an enormous screen and projector are set up on the Arboretum lawn and a select group of movies are played according to the year's theme. The event starts in the evening with a short family Halloween special and then when night falls, a fun horror flick is played into the night. Many of Auburn’s students and residents relax and hang out on the lawn to watch the movie through the night in lawn chairs and on blankets.

Don’t miss the last Fright Night Friday of the year! Join us on this Friday, October 25, to watch Hocus Pocus at 6:30 p.m. and The Craft at 8:30 p.m.
