Author Mary Helen Brown Signs Books at Leadership Council Luncheon
During this year's Leadership Council, spouses of the members had an opportunity to enjoy lunch at The Hotel at Auburn University and Dixon Conference Center. Local author Mary Helen Brown discussed and signed copies of her first novel, Headed for Home. This interesting read is a rich combination of strange occurrences, family and baseball--all set in a rural town in Texas. Headed for Home is available at Amazon.com and is best read on a porch with a dog at your feet and a glass of tea.
Mary Helen Brown is originally from Center, Texas. She grew up on a family farm that her sister Bonnie still calls home. She was an associate professor of communication at Auburn University for more than 30 years where she was honored with several teaching awards.
