The Southeastern Center of Robotics Education (SCORE) located at Auburn University offers customized professional development to meet the needs of schools and teachers. We offer training on a wide range of robotics platforms and topics including computer science, curriculum connections and platform-specific training.

  • Professional development is delivered as half-day (3 hours), full day (6 hours), or multi-day.
  • SCORE trainings qualify for TEAMS credit.
  • Full-day trainings start at $2,000 plus travel for up to 18 teachers, and half-day trainings begin at $1,400 plus travel for up to 18 teachers. For more than 18 teachers, call for pricing.
  • We can arrange all trainings to meet the needs of K-12 teachers.

 

Robotics Platforms – Receive training on how to use the platform, from turning it on and connecting to devices to programming basics and creating autonomous programs. VEX IQ & V5 New Coaches Training – Professional Development for new coaches for the VEX IQ & V5 Robotics Competition. Training will cover the basics of building and programming the VEX IQ robot, current year game rules, and how to start and effectively coach a competitive robotics team. (Only offered as a two-day training)

VEX Coaches Refresh - This one-day course is for returning coaches and focuses on the current years game and will explore more complicated coding.

Robotics in Content Areas – We will address the Alabama Digital Literacy and Computer Science Standards in this training. Content areas could include Computer Science, English Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, or Mathematics. These trainings can use any robotics platform.
