Faculty and students had an opportunity to interact with experiments and learn more about the educational programs offered at the Physics Social Hour held in the Leach Science Center on Aug. 25.

“Whether you are pursuing an undergraduate degree in physics, considering a minor or looking to earn your doctorate degree, the Department of Physics has a variety of fields and an array of world-class research facilities that can help students prepare for rewarding career opportunities,” said Edward Thomas Jr., dean of the College of Sciences and Mathematics (COSAM) and professor of physics. “The event showed that science can be really fun and exciting!”

If you are an undergraduate student and you want to know more about a major or minor in physics, contact Katie Cooper in COSAM’s Office of Student Services.
