Keyes in Rap Music and Street Consciousness (2004), "rap music is a forum that addresses the political and economic disfranchisement of black youths and other groups, fosters ethnic pride, and displays cultural values and aesthetics." Rap is the voice and sound of hip hop culture and has emerged as one of the most distinctive and controversial music genres of the past few decades. Oftentimes rap music displays the rage of an urban underclass and the sense of intense oppression and defiant rebellion.
Dance. According to Wikipedia, Dance Mix is a form of music that was created by mixing Techno, House, and Electronica music. Disco, electronica, techno, and trance are some of the popular dance and DJ styles. For example, Moby and Bjork fall into the category of electronica.
Rap and Hip Hop. Gangsta, hardcore, pop rap, and west coast rap are a few of the different kinds of music in this category. Eminem, Snoop Dogg, Notorious B.I.G., Dr. Dre, and Beastie Boys are a few of the popular artists.
