Matthew Campbell started in Auburn’s institutional research office in 1997 as a Graduate Research Assistant and returned in 2005 as an Analyst. He has served Auburn as Director of Institutional Research since 2020. As Director, Matthew provides support in the areas of information management and stewardship for Auburn’s student, faculty and staff data, and is responsible for leading a unit focused on bringing research-based information to inform decision-making throughout the institution. Matthew is a past-president of the Southern Association for Institutional Research (SAIR) and holds a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from Auburn University. Claire Heacox joined the office in 2022 after two years in Auburn's Office of Information Technology and a previous career in transportation data analysis and planning. With the IR team, she works with data reporting, visualizations, analysis, and process design. She is excited to build on existing data foundations toward an automated and efficient data platform. Her Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Masters of Science in Mathematical Science with a Statistics concentration are both from the University of North Florida. Danielle Navarrete joined the office in 2023 after 11 years at Columbus State University in the Turner College of Business. As an Analyst for Institutional Research, she assists with institutional student data reporting, departmental projects, and data visualization. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutritional Science from Seattle Pacific University and is currently working on her MBA from Columbus State University. Julia Thompson joined the office in 2018 after four years with the Graduate School and Office of Undergraduate Studies. She maintains the website with accurate information about Auburn University and develops interactive data visualizations for self-service reporting and analysis. She also provides support by assisting with data extracts and preparation, information requests, and other departmental projects. She holds the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics Education, Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering, and Master of Technical and Professional Communication, all from Auburn University.
