Marks Scholars at work

Louisa Forbes, Jada Conner and Erin Wilkinson are current Marks Scholars in Auburn’s Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, where they are contributing to infectious disease research in Doug Goodwin’s lab. Impact
Student inventors tackle everyday problems

Elementary, middle and high school students from across Alabama gathered at Auburn University for the second annual Alabama State Invention Convention, hosted by the I-STEM Connectory. The event featured 51 student-created inventions addressing everyday challenges, from food insecurity and chronic headaches to safety, storage and accessibility. Four student inventions will advance to RTX Invention Convention U.S. Nationals in Dearborn, Michigan, this June.
