Carrie Williams’ career is no laughing matter – or is it? The 2010 Auburn graduate and Clifton, Virginia native, is a producer for Comedy Central. After graduation, Williams moved to The Big Apple and put her degree in radio, television and film to work. Since 2012, she’s been moving up the ranks at Comedy Central, first as an integrated marketing coordinator and then as a video production manager, before landing her current position. While she’s certainly reached her lifelong dream of working in the entertainment business, it didn’t come without a heaping dose of work, hard work. During her time at Auburn, Williams held internships with MTV, NBC and ABC. Her NBC internship earned her more than just a few credit hours – she won a regional Emmy for her work on the show “NBC Interns,” which she and other interns created, directed and produced. Between classes and internships, Williams was also a part of the AU Singers, Auburn University’s show choir, and held various roles with Eagle Eye, the campus television news station.
