26 Things Auburn Graduates Need to Know for Spring 2026 Commencement

Auburn University’s Spring 2026 commencement ceremonies will take place May 1–4 in Neville Arena. Below are 26 things to know in advance of your ceremony.

Guests may wait in the standby line. Entry depends on available seating.

Doors open 90 minutes before each ceremony.

Arrive at least one hour before your ceremony.

Enter through the main student entrance.

Guests should use the main arena entrances or the Scholarship Entrance for those with ADA needs.

Use lots adjacent to Neville Arena, including the Village Residence Halls on the west side of campus, the Coliseum Lot, and the Stadium Parking Deck, among others.

Accessible parking is available in the Arena Parking Lot (placard must be visible). Elevator access is available through the Scholarship Entrance.

Name cards are picked up before entering the arena floor.

Graduates are seated by college and directed by ushers.

Bring only your phone and ID.

No bags are allowed for graduates. Guests must follow the clear bag policy.

Expect ceremonies to last 1.5–2 hours.

Undergraduates start right and move it to the left.

Your name will be announced, you will receive a copy of the Auburn Creed, shake hands with your college dean, President Roberts and a member of the Board of Trustees, and take a photo.

Meet guests at the Meet-Up Tent in the arena parking lot. All graduates get free graduation swag!

All ceremonies will be livestreamed on the commencement website.

Programs and buttons are available at the main arena entrances. A digital program is also available for download.

All graduates attending commencement receive a commemorative cord upon entry to Neville Arena.

Dress appropriately and ensure clothing is not visible under your gown (gowns must be zipped when going across the stage).

GradImages will take official commencement photos that are available for purchase one to two weeks after the ceremony. All graduates will receive an email with ordering information.

Spring graduates can take a photo with Aubie in regalia in Haley Center outside the AU Bookstore on Wednesday, April 29 (1:00-2:00 PM) and Thursday, April 30 (10:00 - 11:00 AM).

Samford Hall, the Auburn Seal, Toomer’s Corner, Cater Lawn and Langdon Hall.

Diplomas will be mailed 6–8 weeks after graduation.
