The University Express is a courtesy service that is available on a first-come, first-serve basis and goes from any on-campus location to any on-campus location. Service is also provided through our By Request Service from/to any marked Tiger Transit bus stop to/from the following locations:
E.W. Shell Fisheries Center
Kreher Preserve and Nature Center
Lambert-Powell Meats Lab
Surplus Property
Swine Research Center
The Hotel at Auburn University
Yarbrough Tennis Center
Calls for service are answered from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday*. In order to obtain service, call (334) 844-8600 at the time service is needed (scheduled service is not provided) and be prepared to provide the following information to the dispatcher:
For the University Express:
On-Campus departure location
On-Campus destination location
Number of passengers to transported
For By Request Service:
Tiger Transit Bus Stop Location
By Request Location
Number of passengers to transported
Please Note:
Services provided by the University Express are for faculty and staff only, while by request service is for faculty, staff, and students only.
Service is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
We do not schedule time slots for service to be provided.
Vans are only allowed to transport 10 total passengers at a time.
Drivers are only allowed to wait in place for any passenger for 4 minutes.
Drivers are only allowed to go to approved stop locations.
Drivers are only allowed to transport passengers from the departure location and destination location provided to the dispatcher.
Drivers are not allowed to transport passengers to multiple locations during their ride.
Some delivery restrictions apply.
As the University Express and the By Request Service are both courtesy services with limited resources, we ask that you call and cancel your ride if it's decided that transportation is not needed.
By request locations are Auburn University owned properties only that are not on a regular Tiger Transit route. If you would like for us to consider adding a location to our list of by request stops, please send us an email. Please be sure to include the location name and address in your email. While we cannot guarantee the location can be added to the list of stops, we will look to see if adding it is possible.
The vans used for the University Express and for the By Request Service are GPS enabled and can be tracked using ETA Spot
