Our mission is to provide safe and reliable transit service to Auburn University students, faculty and staff. During the fall and spring semesters, Tiger Transit is in operation from 7 a.m. – 8 p.m. (our East Glenn, South Quad East Campus and Fine Arts routes will conclude its services at 6 p.m.) and from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. during the summer semester. For transportation across campus after our regular operational day has ended, the Night Security Shuttle Service is available for on-campus travel. Please visit the Department of Campus Safety and Security website for complete information regarding the days and times this service is available.
The transportation services we provide are available for current Auburn University students to utilize as much or as little as needed. Auburn University faculty and staff members may utilize internal lines at no cost. To travel to an off-campus, non-academic destination utilizing Tiger Transit, a bus pass must be purchased. The Tiger Transit System is the system for Auburn University and paid for by student fees, the general public is not allowed to utilize the system. The Lee-Russell Public Transit is a public and para-transit service for the Lee County, Alabama area. Information regarding the services they provide may also be obtained by calling (334) 749-9092.
The War Eagle Express will provide free rides to students on-campus at the locations listed on the Parking Services website. Call us for pick-up at (334) 740-1436 and catch a ride to an on-campus dining venue or to a personal vehicle parked in one of the RO lots. This service is provided Monday through Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. during the fall and spring semesters when classes are in session.
We encourage students to take advantage of the twenty-two routes that are offered throughout the academic year. DoubleMap provides easy to recognize color-coordinated routes to help with identifying the route or routes you need. Additionally, DoubleMap provides a free smartphone app, which is available for Apple and Android devices and provides real-time location bus data.
Effective June 29, 2020 all passengers must wear a protective face mask until further notice. Please be aware and become familiar with the additional changes to the Tiger Transit services which will also be in effect until further notice.
In addition to the above changes, vans and electric cart (golf cart) services also have the following new procedures:
We would like to make all passengers aware that the Tiger Transit office has established these new policy and procedures while also increasing measures internally to ensure cleanliness and sanitation for everyone’s protection. What has not changed during this time is our continued dedication to safety, reliability and efficiency.
