Tracey Newell - Bio

With over 25 years of experience in communications, marketing, and design at Auburn, Tracey Spates Newell is the director of academic events in the Provost’s Office. An award-winning graphic designer and 1991 Auburn graduate, Newell develops and implements creative and logistical visions for the Provost’s Office strategic events, including commencement designed to advance faculty and staff success while promoting unit-level activities supporting Auburn’s mission.

Newell resides in Opelika, Alabama, with her husband and two sons. Her daughter earned a master’s degree in higher education from Auburn in fall 2022.
