Alumni Scholarships

The Auburn Alumni Association, along with close to 100 Auburn Clubs throughout the country, annually funds scholarships for incoming and current students based on criteria such as academic achievement, geographic location, and financial need. Students must complete the scholarship application through the Auburn University Scholarship Opportunity Manager (AUSOM) to receive consideration for all Alumni Scholarships for which they meet the criteria.

Auburn Alumni Association Endowed Scholarship


Awarded: Early April
Amount: $1,500 to $2,000 for one year

Auburn Alumni Association Endowed Scholarships are awarded among eligible incoming freshmen and transfer students. Incoming students must complete the scholarship application through AUSOM by 4:45 p.m. CST on the deadline to receive consideration.

  • Incoming freshmen must have a minimum 24 ACT or equivalent SAT score* and a minimum 3.0 high school GPA. Incoming transfer students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA.
  • Students should indicate on the application for admission if they have a parent or guardian who is an alumnus of Auburn University (main campus) and must be a fully paid life member of the Auburn Alumni Association on or before March 1.
  • Students who have already been recognized with a scholarship valued at resident tuition or greater and students pursuing a second degree or a first professional degree are ineligible for consideration.
  • Auburn Alumni Association Endowed Scholarships are awarded competitively based on available funding, and consideration does not guarantee a scholarship will be awarded.

* Students who elect to test after the December ACT and SAT test dates are advised Auburn University cannot guarantee test scores will be received and processed by the final scholarship application deadline on February 10.

Golden Eagles Annual Scholarship


Awarded: Early April
Amount: $1,500 for one year

Golden Eagles Annual Scholarships are awarded among eligible incoming freshmen, transfer students, and current students. Incoming and current Auburn students must complete the scholarship application through AUSOM by 4:45 p.m. CST on the deadline.

  • Incoming freshmen must have a 25-29 ACT or equivalent SAT score* and a minimum 3.0 high school GPA. Incoming transfer students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative transfer GPA. Current students must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative, unadjusted Auburn GPA at the end of fall semester.
  • Students should indicate on the application for admission if they have a parent or guardian who is an alumnus of Auburn University (main campus) and must be a fully paid life member of the Auburn Alumni Association on or before March 1.
  • Students must demonstrate financial need through completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)** by March 1.
  • Golden Eagles Annual Scholarships are awarded competitively based on available funding, and consideration does not guarantee a scholarship will be awarded.

**The FAFSA is the only form a student is required to complete to be considered for student assistance from any of the Title IV, HEA programs except for information needed to ensure the student’s eligibility for such assistance (e.g., information needed to complete verification or to demonstrate compliance with the student eligibility provisions of the HEA and the regulations). Additional information, if requested, will be listed on the student’s Tiger i Financial Aid Requirements page after the student’s FAFSA results are received. Student Alumni Association Annual Scholarship


Awarded: Early April
Amount: $1,000 for one year

Student Alumni Association Annual Scholarships are awarded among eligible participants in the Student Alumni Association. Current students must complete the scholarship application through AUSOM by 4:45 p.m. CST on the dealine to receive consideration.

  • Students must be currently enrolled rising seniors and must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative, unadjusted Auburn GPA.
  • Students must demonstrate financial need through completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid FAFSA)* by March 1.
  • Student Alumni Association Scholarships are awarded competitively based on available funding, and consideration does not guarantee a scholarship will be awarded.

Auburn Club Scholarships


With close to 100 Auburn Clubs throughout the country, alumni have the opportunity to participate in various fund-raising activities either directly for their local club scholarship or towards the association’s endowed scholarship.

Alumni Scholarships can be found in AUSOM by browsing "All" scholarships and searching by the keyword "alumni" or "county."
