Whether it’s the Auburn University Marching Band stepping down the field, or the Symphonic Band giving another masterful performance, Auburn continues its rich musical tradition year after year. 	Junior High Symphonic Honor Band Accepted Students Posted on November 21, 2009 at 9:58 pm The Auburn University Bands is proud to announce the names of the accepted students for our First Annual Symphonic Honor Band for junior High and middle School students. 	In Memory of Sarah Anderson Posted on November 12, 2009 at 10:49 am The Auburn University Bands lost one of its finest members on Tuesday, November 10th, when Sarah Anderson tragically lost her life in an automobile accident on Interstate 85. Sarah was a piccolo player in the Auburn University Marching Band and Symphonic Band. "It’s a tragic loss, particularly when she was so young and full of vitality. Sarah Anderson was the epitome of the Auburn Band student–dedicated, hardworking, self-motivated. She always maintained a positive attitude no matter what the situation. Smiles always brightened her face, just as she brightened the lives of everyone around her. She will be greatly missed. 	Now accepting recommendations for High School and Junior High Symphonic Honor Bands Posted on October 17, 2009 at 4:13 pm The Auburn University Bands is proud to announce that we are accepting recommendations for our 19th Annual Symphonic Honor Band for High School students and our first ever Symphonic Honor Band for Junior High students. The festivals will take place on February 11-13, 2010 for the high school festival and February 4-6, 2010 for the junior high festival.
